Film Ferrania introduces the P33 Film: a breakthrough in black and white photography blending innovation and tradition.
"All the cinematic character of Italian neorealism in 35mm format. Stunning."
Gabriele Micalizzi, testimonial of the P33, is a force to be reckoned with behind the lens. He is a storyteller, a witness to life's raw moments. His lens is a window to a world of unfiltered emotions and untold stories.
Join him on this journey as he explores the depths of human experience, one frame at a time.
SHOP THE P33
With a sensitivity of 160 ASA, P33 offers a simpler and more versatile experience compared to its predecessors, retaining distinctive features like fine grain and clear contrast.
CEO Silvio Pignone remarks, "P33 is the culmination of our R&D efforts, merging analog tradition with technological innovation. We've meticulously re-engineered authentic emulsion recipes, focusing on enhancing versatility with a higher ISO and simplifying the development process."
The film was created at Ferrania's original site in Cairo Montenotte, Italy.
P33 Best Practices
SHOOT P33 AT 160 ISO
We understand that modern films are very flexible, but P33 is based on a classic chemical formula that responds best when shot at the listed ISO of 160.
MAKE YOUR OWN SCANS
Our films are unique compared to most modern films. As a result, we have found that typical lab scanningcanyield blocked-up hyper-contrasty images. If this happens to you, try scanning the negatives yourself for better results.
ENJOY IT
Our films are created to be enjoyed, not analyzed. For that reason, feel free to ignore the "rules" and do whatever you like. Share your results with us and if you have questions or comments, we are always available by email.
